I. Status (as of April 9, 2008)

Yearbooks will be distributed May 9, 2008, during 4th block. There will be no exceptions to this. All pictures submitted for senior ads will be returned to the student during this time as well.

II. Cost

Yearbooks cost $85. Personalized nameplates are available for $5 for one line of text and $7.50 for two lines.Once the books arrive, the cost goes up to $95.00. We cannot order nameplates for late purchases.
Yearbook order forms are available in Portable J, and orders and payment must be delivered to Mr. Askew in room 219.

III. Staff Information

Yearbook advisor: Ms. Cathy Taylor has been a member of the English department since the fall of 2006. She currently teaches English III and Creative Writing in addition to acting as yearbook advisor.

The student staff is comprised of 15 students (3 juniors and 12 sophomores). These students have given their time and talents to capture the events and memories of an amazing school year. Staffers have committed to morning, afternoon, weekend and late night work sessions to meet each deadline.

IV. Coverage and Content

Our aim is to represent 100% of our WBHS family in the yearbook. Ideally, each person would be represented twice, but that is very difficult in a school this size. To that end, we have completed interviews, visited various classrooms, attended club meetings, and sought input from various other sources. Some students, however, will not be included due to absences or preference, but the staff has made a concerted effort to include everyone. We also must occasionally pull a picture due to a dress code violation or other rule infraction.

Spring Sports

Because the final deadline is February 3, some spring sports’ pictures are actually from the previous year’s season (including baseball, track and field, tennis, boys’ soccer, and softball). We try to ensure that current students are the only ones pictured, but there may be some shots that include students who are no longer on the team or enrolled in the school.
