Our Mission:

           The mission of the AFJROTC program is to build better citizens for America.

Our Vision:

           Our vision at William Blount High School is to offer a program that provides service to our school and Blount County community, develops an awareness of the impact of aerospace studies on us as individuals, on our society and our way of life; developes an understanding of the military command structure, the need for self-discipline and improvement, and a knowledge of military drill and ceremonies.

Our Objectives

           In accomplishing the mission of the AFJROTC program, our unit, the TN 793^rd group, is designed to meet the following objectives:
  1. Encouragement of a high degree of personal honor, integrity, responsibility, self-reliance, commitment to improvement and leadership.
  2. Promotion of patriotism and habits of orderliness and precision.
  3. Development of a sense of the importance of Aerospace in our past, present, and future.
  4. Development of basic military discipline, drill, and ceremonies.
  5. Development of a sense of service to others.
  6. Adherence to the cadet code:
    I WILL NOT LIE, CHEAT OR STEAL, NOR TOLERATE THOSE WHO DO.
