Yearbook (for parents) PDF Print E-mail

Status (as of Feb. 27, 2012)

I.     Cost

Yearbook pricing changes based on when you order.

  • Yearbooks are $80 until March 30, after which time you will have to wait until the yearbooks arrive for distribution. At distribution yearbooks will be $90 on a first-come, first-serve basis.

II.     Senior Ads (order forms go out with yearbook order forms in September)

Senior ads are available at the following prices:

  • 1/8-page ad = $40 (no more than one picture)
  • 1/4-page ad = $80 (no more than two pictures)
  • 1/2-page ad = $160 (no more than six pictures)
  • full-page ad = $350 (no more than twelve pictures)

Note: Pictures will not be mailed back to you unless you submit a self-addressed and STAMPED envelope with your pictures. Pictures can be picked up at the school during yearbook distribution as well. Digital pictures are acceptable via e-mail; however, we may have issues with formatting and cannot guarantee clarity. We handle the design of your ad, and we edit messages for grammar. The smaller the ad, the fewer the words we can include. ADS and PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY NOVEMBER 19!

Business Ads:  We sell business ads as well, for a different pricing scale. These ads help us to keep prices down for our students and offer local businesses a way to offer their support for WBHS, offer congratulations to the graduating class, and advertise their services and products. Please contact me (see info below) if you are interested or know someone who might be willing to purchase a business ad.

IV.    Staff Information

The student staff is comprised of students who give their time and talents to capture the events and memories of an amazing school year. Staffers have committed to morning, afternoon, weekend, and late-night work sessions to meet each deadline.

V.    Coverage and Content

Our aim is to represent 100% of our WBHS family in the yearbook. The 2012 Governor will include the 9th Grade Academy, as well as the CTE building and the main building. Ideally, each person will be represented twice, but that is difficult in a school this size. To that end, we complete interviews, visit various classrooms, attend club meetings, and seek input from various other sources.  Some students, however, will not be included due to absences or preference, but the staff makes a concerted effort to include everyone.  We also must occasionally pull a picture due to a dress code violation or other rule infraction.

VI.  Spring Sports

Because the final deadline is in early February, some spring sports’ pictures are actually from the previous year’s season (including baseball, track and field, tennis, boys’ soccer, and softball). We try to ensure that current students are the only ones pictured, but there may be some shots that include students who are no longer on the team or enrolled in the school.
